Call for  Papers

TESOL Quarterly (TQ) is seeking proposals from prospective guest editors for the 2024 special topic issue. Proposals are chosen by the TQ Editorial Advisory Board, and the guest editor(s) are responsible for overseeing the review process and selecting the content of the issue. The issue will appear in September 2024. Successful proposals have an overarching theme that is timely and interesting to the TQ readership.

Information Included in Poposal

1. Need and rationale for this special issue (double-spaced, 3 pages)

2. Possible specific topics of inquiry (double-spaced, 3 pages)

3. Potential contributors

4. Call for abstracts for the issue (1 page)

5. Curriculum Vitae of the guest editor(s) (Maximum of two guest editors)

Timeline

Proposals due : August 15, 2022

Notification decisions : October 1, 2022

Call for papers appears : October 15, 2022 

Abstracts due : January 31, 2023

Papers due : August 1, 2023

Papers sent to reviewers : August 20, 2023

Reviews sent to authors : October 31, 2023

Final revisions due : January 1, 2024

Final papers to TQ editors : March 31, 2024
